Default Steering Problem

I am looking for some guidence regarding a steering problem I am having... When I am doing normal around town driving, my steering seems smooth and stable. Under any significant acceloration, the steering seems to bind or it feels like I am losing power steering. Any ideas? Pump going bad? Belt slipping?

you got it... Steering under a load becomes very difficult. I checked the fluid level and it is fine. Freeway driving and casual driving is fine, but under a load steering becomes difficult.

Sounds like the motor mounts are allowing the engine to shift over enough under hard accelleration to press the header against your steering shaft... hence the binding feeling. Look from the top and bottom to check the header and steering shaft for rub marks... this will be your proof.

Default Light Bulb!

That makes sense. The problem started when I installed long tub headers. I installed poly mounts, but maybe there is not enough clearence. Thanks! I'll check it out...
