Default IGNITION

i lost my f...in key and bought a new ignition thinking i can change it my self how do i get the old one out. some one told me to push the pin in on the bottom and it will pop out bull sh.t it aint coming out should i hit it with a hammer hard or what plz help!!11

Unfortunately, you need the key to be in it to get it out (has to be in the "run" position). Bite the bullet and call a locksmith - he should be able to pick it to turn it to the run position, then it can be removed. Otherwise you'll have to drill into the lock assy and/or column and you may end up hacking it up.
