Default need 331 stroker help on my sn95

so i have a friend that i can get a freely spinning 302 roller motor and a 331 eagle stroker kit with arp studs. any ways he wants 1000 bucks or best offer so i was thinking of offering him 800.

first question do you all think thats a good deal?

second question i have a gt40x heads p&p and a cobra intake p&p, do you think it would be worth it to get this kit and worry about doing some better heads down the road when money is a little bit better? or would the gt40 stuff choke the 331??

If the rotating assembly is good, then the deal is good. I would jump on it if I had the extra money. The "X" heads will be fine with an every day street/strip car.

i believe the pistions are set up to run 9:1 if i know my motor guy like i think i do hell probably want to get that to atleast 10:1.

yes its a street strip car i make 292rwhp and 316rwtq right now with my current 302 set up.

what type of numbers and or power gain could i see from doing the 331? also would 24lb injectors work, or would i need to run 30lb? i am running nitrous, but its a wet kit so it brings its own fuel

personally at 1000 it's not worth it cause by the time you have all the proper checks and machine work done and put together right, yu could of bought a short block ready to go for the same or less then the final grand total you'll have into that one. and I would not put gt-40 stuff on a stroker as a well built 302 most likely would embarrass it
