it's niether he said...cfi = central fuel injection = throttle body with two injectors.........on top of the throttle body, where the two injectors sit OP.....there will be a shredor valve, you need to hook a fuel pressure gauge up to it and check FP if it spikes high meaning past 35-40 psi you may have a bad fp regulator the fp regulator sits behind the two injectors on the TB

PS.......By now if it's been running rich the plugs may be fouled, so you may have to replace them too

It hasnt really been running rich.. Meaning that i haven't seen any black smoke or nothing. I pulled a few plugs and they all have a light tan color on the ends. I think its time to replace them anyways

well if that's the case and your positive fuel pressure stays in spec at all times......then perform a tune up on it and retest = cheap and easy, after that if prob still occurs, 85 cfi has the ability to run a KOEO/KOER test and that'd be the next step to check for codes that may relate to a/f issues such as an o2 code

It's not, no squirter on a cfi tb....all fuel mapping on a cfi is determined based on load calculations in the ecm that are determined by valuable input sensors such as the map/baro sensor, ect, act, and tps and 02 sensor
