Default HCI

I just got a Trick flow street burner intake, AFR 185cc heads, and custom grind cam, with an AOD what kind of horse power numbers should i see??

need more info than that. also seems like the intake would hold it back some IMO. do you have full bolt ons, compression? long tubes etc etc

not sure the specs on the cam it was in the car when I bought it and the guy said it was a custom grind it has a mild lope to it, and yes I have 11 to 1 compression and long tube headers.

Without the cam specs it would be impossible to give you an answer. If the cam was ground to the heads that use to be on the car it could be hurting you. In other word if a cam is ground to optimize a set of E7's then it's all wrong for AFR 185's and frankly your intake is holding back a great set of heads, Id sell that thing and install a RPMII or Track Heat on it. Yank the cam and and either get an off the self that fits the application or have one custom ground for your current set-up. Remember that what people tell you is in an engine is often not even close. His idea of a "Custom Cam" may have been a FRPP E Cam

The real important number to be concerned with would be ET, RUN IT AT THE TRACK but the AOD slush box in stock form will hamper performance, shift kits, stalls and correct gears will help an AOD out, most moded 5.0's using a aod in stock form are turds outta the hole with it's 2.40 1st ratio
