ALL Cobra's came with 3.08's. Ford does not make a 3.05. Maybe you meant 2.73. That came standard on the GT's both manual and auto.

i came up with that because its stamped on my ring that i pulled out of my car and the guy i bought it from didnt mod the car before i bought it

ok this is messed up i went down to the basement and the ring says ford 305 e7tw but the pinion says 308 im wrong

anyway to be back on point, so some gears would help alot? so 3.73? I work on all my cars, but i have never touched anything on the rear end before. how hard would this install be? just pull off the drive shaft and gear cover? What about the axles?

lol its a bit more complicated than that do you have any friends that can help you that have done it before far as gear choice it depends on what you want to do to the car are you going to have forced induct. or straight motor street/strip or dd
