Default why some say need diff headers for gt40p's

is it cause bolt holes dont line up on some headers ? or spark plug angle's ?
i matched up a old header gasket to the heads and everything looked like lined up right . but hoping it wasnt cause spark plugs . i have bbk headers . and right now my car dont have tranny in it any more and was wantin to swap heads while car is done n out . but if i have to buy new headers gonna have to wait on that .

I may be wrong, but I think its because of the plugs

it is the plugs. but i believe the bbk shorty unequals work with them. don't quote me on that.

Yes it is because of the angle of the plugs, however, I have heard that BBK unequal shorties and BBK long tube headers will clear. You may need a 90 degree plug wire boot with the BBKs.

i heard someone else saying bbk unequals will work, but you have to remove driver side header when you want to change plugs. The #7 plug is the problem with non p headers. Im getting gt40ps soon, im gonna atleast see how my bbk's fit with them.

Are your headers equal or unequal length? I have gt40p heads that I'm planning on installing and I only have bbk equal length headers ... hope they work...

I can tell you for a fact BBK unequal shorties will work with GT40P heads, you will have to run a 90* sparkplug wire to #7 cylinder though. I am running this setup and have had no trouble from it.
