Default wiring up a a1000 fuel pump?

ok so i got a a1000 pump just trying to figure out how to wire this thing. can i cut the factory fuel pump plug off the harness and splice the positive and ground wires to the terminals on the pump? will that work? also do i need that stupid fuel managment computer that aeromotive sells to go along with the pump?

i wouldnt run it off the factory wiring. i have mine wired up so that the factory wiring activates a relay and then the relay turns on the pump. the wires running the pump are 10g and go straight from the battery in the hatch to the relay, then to the pump and then grounded.

you dont need the fuel management thing
