Default 331 vs 408W

soooooooooooo
i need help deciding which way to go for my new engine.
i know the classic "no replacement for displacement" viewpoint, but i also cant pass up the benefits of a quick revving 331.

i had a 357W in my car for a little bit (pretty nasty build too), but decided it was a good engine for my FFR 33 Hot Rod since it was such a top end motor (2100lb car + lots of low end torque = BAD IDEA).

both would be solid roller engines with a 6500rpm shift point so that would stay constant.

i went to MASS FLO so worrying about the computer isnt a concern for me.

anyone with a 351W swap have anything bad to say about handling? i never got to open mine up one back roads, just on the highway a few times but didnt notice a difference really.

so basically lighter weight 331 and a little more space under the hood...

or just fill it up with 408 cubic inches of Ford muscle?

thanks guys.

already did, but not 3000 (more like 1500). it seemed to work fine when the 357W was in, ran clean didnt hicup, all i had to do was set my timing.
anything i need to know about? (no being sarcastic, if i need it out i wanna know ASAP).
anything better out there for computers (FAST, etc).

there really wasnt any need to waste all that money. The ford EEC-IV system is one of the best EFI computer systems available when it comes to versatility.

scrap any idea of a 331, should be 347 or 408, I'd do a 347 if budget were a concern

all is not lost...
i still have the stock EEC-IV and everything that goes with it (and other than the fact that its all out it SHOULD be all there).
just put that back in and work from there?

i think ill use the mass flo for the FFR whenever i get around to building it...

the fiance just came home and announced that we are expecting...
so projects go on hold for a bit now...

anyways, let me know about the EEC-IV and hopefully it will work for that big of a motor? i just dont know about the persnickety 94/95 computers (i could be completely wrong too, i never went there besides bolt ons and a cam).
