Its either the sending unit in the tank or the anti-slosh modual behind the cluster. Mine was a bad anti-slosh modual and I wasn't paying $75 from the dealership for a new one so I went to the JY and found about 8 of them. They didn't even charge me because they didn't know what they were lol. BTW I am doing some looking into repairing them, all the bad ones have the same problem ( in this case 5 out of 8 were bad ). Something is shorting out a diode on the circuit board and I haven't gotten around to ordering replacement parts as of yet to test with. Try the anti-slosh 1st, its alot easier to pull the cluster then drop the tank.

I have a real problem with my gas gauge too. It goes from F to E way too fast.

Your suffering from rightfootitis, its the overwhelming desire of your foots willingness to stomp on the go petal. I'm sorry there is no cure but to spend mad amounts of cash in the quest to go faster which is a common side effect of rightfootitis. Treatments have been tried such as:

1. Spousal intervention ( usually leads to divorce or removal of *********, the latter makes them easier to carry in ones purse only to let the husband use them on special occasions deemed appropriate by said ******** warden)

2. Bankruptcy ( usually leads to a clean slate of credit it which to totally trash it once again on speed parts for the car )

3. A near death experience ( in the quest to satisfy the go fast urge you forget some vital safety equipment and have an accident resulting in total car loss and very near loss of life )

Of course these are just some suggestions to the dillema I am sure there are more and will be posted lol.
