Default Easiest Way for Oil Pan Swape

Now I lost my older user name so I made a new one, so not too much of a newbie. I got an oil pan leak and one of the drain bolts is really rusted on from the winter. What is the easiest way to change the oil pan out? With just basic jacks. If it is possible. Plus my windshield wipers are not wiping the water off like it should. Is there any easy fix or just get a new arm? I'm guessing the spring is worn. Thanks guys.

Not really sure how you can replace the oil pan without pull the motor or at least picking it up high enough so you can get out the old one and put in the new one over the k member. As for the wiper, are you sure the blades just aren't worn out?

If you can't get the engine out, support the engine and lower the K member. It's really the fastest way if you have a couple of people

without having to fight and wiggle it, I usually lower the k-member, I pull the bolts and use thread rod so the k-member can hang low

Thanks for the advice. Ya i know this is going to be a pain in my ***. I'll try the lowering the k member and try to jack it just high enough and get some 2x4s in there. To get the clearance I need. No it's not the wipers blades. I’m not that that stupid about the wipers but ya never know with people, lol. I think I’ll take the arms off and see what I can do with the spring. Otherwise I’ll get new arms. Thanks again guys.

jack up the motor, 2x4's between the mount and the K-member, unbolt the oil pan and drop it onto the K, reach inside and unbolt the oil pickup, drop it into the pan and slide the pan out to the rear... not a hard job at all
