misfire koer results
i ran the test and came up as a misfire in cylinder 8, a 33 (EGR Valve Opening Not Detected) and 94 (EGR Valve Opening Not Detected) i know the 94 is cause i dont have a smog pump and but my question is will the egr cause the misfire its an 87 gt 5.0 i have new wire plugs and and brand new dist im going to inspect 8 closely now let me know what u think

Since you don't have the smog pump, you may be identifying code 44 (Secondary Air System Inoperative. bank one, passenger side) for a code 8 (which doesn't apply) by mistake.... IOW, you had a KOER output of codes 44, 33 and 94.... which should not cause any driveability or performance problems. To run a cylinders balance test, you need to wait until all KOER are output, and perform a brief WOT afterward, allow the self test to run (2-4 minutes), and then watch the codes flash. LUK
