Default heads for a 94gt

I am sure this has been covered, but I tried a search and just came up with err's?

I have a 94 gt that I want to replace the heads on and cam on. The car is on the street alot more then the strip and I need to keep it reliable. I don't know ANYTHING about motors so can anyone give some guidance as to what would be good to get and where is a good deal?

Trickflow Twisted Wedge heads are an excellent deal. The Trickflow Stg-1 cam sounds good, makes good power and is cheap($165). If you do not have an intake manifold, an explorer intake from a junk yard flows well( Because you have a 94, you need a dog leg adapter). Check out SummitRacing, Jegs, Latemodel Restoration for the parts.

the problem comes sometimes you have to get a tune for the car after you do h/c/i otherwise the car can run like crap my buddy did h/c/i in a 95 and was fine my other buddy did it in the same year and ran like garbage so id save enough to get a tuner or have it tuned just in case

Trickflow Stg-1 cam($165) + World Windsor iron heads($900) +Junk-yard explorer intake w/adapter($300) + Proform 1:6,3/8 stud rockers($160) + gaskets($100)= around $1625. You can find used heads and intakes for reasonable prices if you shop carefully. Check out Corral.net under their classifieds. You can find som great deals. Or you could skip the heads and buy a used Vortech for about $1800. Sadly, none of these parts come cheap.
