Default GT40 Headers

My mustang has a nasty exhaust leak from the headers and i want to replace the headers/mid pipe.

I currently have stock 5.0 heads but i want to upgrade to GT40'S in the future.
My question is if i get a new set of headers for my stock heads, will they fit the GT40's when i decide to upgrade? I know the gt40 P type heads need special headers so im looking at non P type GT40's.

What is a good set quality headers that arent to expensive. I likly will get shorty's.

Thanks!
