Default rpm performer intake problems

ok i noticed my car was leaking oil. it came from the intake filter. So i traced it all the way up to my upper intake manifold. I took off the side cover on the upper intake and there was a pool of oil just sitting there. there was also a litttle bit down the intake runners. I dont know what the problem is. i clean it up, drive the car again and take off the cover and there is oil. this has happened numerous times before. Someone please help.

Thanks

Start by checking your PCV.

are all your pcv hoses routed as factory designed it?? and when you put the rpm intake on did you install the mesh filter for the pcv below the grommet retainer for the pcv valve??

i read online that if the oil baffle is not installed it will suck up oil. Could this be the problem? Does the rpm performer have an oil baffle anyway?

you'd be best off calling edelbrock tech support and ask if it is designed with such a feature.

An in line oil separator may help keep most of the oil out of the intake. The cause may be do to excess blow by, you may want to do a compression and leak down test looking for ring issues.

The RPM does have an oil baffle that covers the pcv hole on the underside of the lower.
