Master Disconnect Switch Setup

Master Disconnect Switch Setup
hey guys last year I put my battery in the hatch, and its now time to do the kill switch. For the battery I ran the wire under the car to the front. On doing the kill switch do I follow that same path to the front of the car??? also does anyone know where a good diagram can be found. I did not buy a kill switch yet or wire. I wanted to hear what everyone else did, like what brand, what size gauge wire did you use, did you run a different setup in the back? As for mounting the kill switch, I like the flip up license plate look. I saw it on the forums at one point. Im going for a legal setup for the track so it has to kill everything.
Thanks be4 hand.

I find a diagram for you, but something important you should know. When doing a cut off you need to make sure that the alt. charge wire is able to go back to the battery after the switch is cut.

This is where I’m at. I’m debating if I should move the starter solenoid to the back or not. I don’t know if it’s worth moving all the wires. And if so, should I run them the same path as the battery wire to the front of the car, which is underneath the car. Also I read somewhere that they ran the Alternator wire though the car to prevent damage from outside. This seems a little scary to me as there’s a lot of juice running though that wire. What do you guys think or do? As for the battery kill switch itself, I’m going with a 4 prong setup but I just don’t know what brand yet. I found the diagram for the NHRA legal battery relocation safest method using solenoid in the back. And here it is without moving the solenoid. Also here is a link to the PDF file for a 4 prong hook up.

I plan on doing this sometime in the next couple of weeks so I’ll let you know if I have any trouble. I still like to hear what other people did if you’re up for shearing .
here's the links as the pictures are kinda small

Otherwise what can happen is the remaining charged after cutoff will damage electronic equipment on-board.

I then ran a 4ga cable from my alternator through my firewall, and to the rear of the car where it goes to the battery side of the switch.
I disconnected my stock alternator charging cable from both the alt and the distrib. box. And I have since removed it from the harness
