thanks
Stock wheels were 17x8s, so I probably wouldn't go bigger than a 255.

I ran 275s too on the rear but the middles seemed to wear slightly faster than the outsides.

swap in an 4L60E, 4.10 gears, and shift kit. it will smoke that cobra and for less money.

but then again if you want a change then by all means go for the cobra.

dont expect too much out of the box though. the cobra is a great foundation but stock for stock i think the LT1 is faster.

keith you get run down by one too many camaro's? i know a stock 350 that will embarrass that 347 of yours.

i belive stock vs stock the lt1 wins. and personally..i think 4L60Es and crap. if i were to go auto it would be a turbo350. however i prefer manual. yes, at the track with fast cars auto wins, just my preference.

i personally am a chevy guy..but unlike most i like fords. i think mustangs are to common...but i still think they sound better because ford was smart and put true duals on em. chevy didn't leave enough room on the 3rd/4th gens and its a pain to put em on. my reason for switching is because i want a change. i have had 5 camaros and im 22. i don't wreck..i buy and sell. if i get bored of the cobra...ill just do the same thing. this wasn't ment to be a chevy vs ford thing..haha.

i do appreciate all who help though. like i said i should be geting it saturday. i am looking forward to it...even with that high mileage. i figure this....the rear ill rebuild soon anyways when i do gears. new bearings, seals, etc. don't have the worry bout that. the trans...if it gos...i can find for 3-4 hundred if i am desperate. a CHEAP t-56 on my car is around 800 atleast.

but ill be posting pics up when i get it
