Default 2.02" valves

Will heads with 2.02" valves work with the Probe flat top pistons in my 347 stroker?

I dont have heads yet and most Im finding have 2.02" valves.

Theres also no cam in the motor now and its on a pallet in my garage.

In most cases with aftermarket pistons you have a good bit of valve notch for valve clearance BUT just make sure if you are going with twisted wedge heads to get the probe pistons with the right notchs for them. If you get into some long duration cams it could run into PTV clearance issues. They have a piston that will work with both

most probe pistons when ordered for the proper application will be fine but ptv always needs to be checked.

How to I check clearance without having heads or a cam?

Im not going to order/buy anything until I know what works.

Ive already got the shortblock with the pistons in it.

take pics of the shortblock and post them up.

the difference between 1.9 and 2.02 valve reliefs (even though small) is noticable

Yes the probes are clearanced for 2.02" but you still need to check PTV for clearance issues caused by the cam events.
