seat belt/harness question
ok so the seats i wanna get for my 89 mustang are link 1. Now the question is should I just go standard seat belts? Or if it's possible I'd like to go with the 3 point listed below but I don't know that they'll work with these seats... Anyone done anything like this? What are some of all of your seat/seat belt set ups???

Standard seat belts would be the easiest. If you have a roll bar the skys the limit. I also now am seeing on ebay seat belt harness bars for 3+ harness style seat belts, but either a cage or the bar makes it hard to acess the back seat. I like the back seat of my car its the only part that will stay in perfect condition. lol. I never liked the idea of bolting seat belts to the floor with out a lot of plating just for safety. If you factory seatbelts are missing you can get them new and are a dime a dozen used.

Those cheap ebay type 3 points will not be legal for the track or street. Here is the deal when mounting a "harness". The shoulder belts should not be mounted to the floor, they need to be mounted to a harness bar behind the seat. If you mount the shoulder straps to the floor you risk broken collar bones and spinal compression in the event of a wreck. Keep in mind that a harness is only a PART OF A SYSTEM, with out all the other parts (roll bar, helmet) a harness is not going to function the way it is intended. Most people have never been strapped into a harness, trust me I have had plenty of car with them, they are not comfortable, when strapped in you usually can't reach the HVAC controls, radio buttons etc, so what people do on the street is run the belts loose, which is almost as bad as nothing at all.
