Question Has anyone relocated the heater controls?

....To the glove box? I've done this before to some of my other cars in the past. It helped that the control cables were long enough to reach the glove box area... I just had to extend the wires a foot then mount the controls.. It was simple. But time consuming!

I dont want to get rid of them.. But I dont want them in my console.. I only use the defrost selection! Maybe theres other ideas!?! I know of the console plate the puts them on the bottom of it.. I don't want that.. I want them gone entirely!

Thanx

Ok, Heres 1 of my ideas. Which I think would be the easiest to do.. N the "cleanest" looking.. What if I turn my heater on defrost, hot, n on the highest setting.. Then remove the controls n install a "toggle switch" to turn the heater on n off!?!

So, basicly I will only have one heat setting.. Defrost, Hot, N on the highest setting! With a flip of a switch.. Will I be able to hook a toggle switch up to the controls?

Thanx

Heat will, slooowly get in, even when the fans not running, but it would work.
