Default Stock fuel gauge sending unit

I have a used one I purchased a wile back. Before I drop the tank, is there a way to test and make sure it works correctly? Thanks

not really, unless you knew the resistance slope of the unit, the only way to know is to plug it in

you can use an ohmmeter and as you move the arm on the sending unit, the value should change
