Supercharger vs Turbo

Supercharger vs Turbo
Ok so I can really only find superchargers for mustangs. At least for my 89 mustang. I know the only real difference is one runs on a belt, the other exhaust. So what do you guys prefer/have? And does anyone know where I can find a turbo for an 89 GT?

turbo lag is a joke...everyone thinks that if you have a turbo and hit the throttle, you wait, wait then boost starts to kick in...wrong, with the properly sized turbo/ turbine A/R ratio, ive seen 302's start making boost at around 22-2500 rpm and not stop pulling untill 6200. plus there is more tuneablity (if thats a word?) with a turbo set up.If you want to run 8psi on the street and 15psi at the track, you just have to adjust the wastegate and you can get a chip burnt with 2 different tunes for both settings..can you do that with a supercharger..??

Turbo all the way. But if you dont know what you are doing a SC is much easier. A good turbo well run you $3,000 to 6,000 where you can get a SC for 2,000. Off topic I saw a turbo kit that was custom. It had a big turbo plus a little turbo. It seemed to solve the lag problem. back on topic the turbo well run off the exhaust to create free power as were the SC has to use power to make power. The turbo is more efficient.

Lol, its funny to even hear this as an argument of what makes more power. They both have the same potential to make power. You can always get a supercharger or turbo that makes more maximum pressure.
The only real this vs that argument you can make is how right is each for your objective.
In my oppinion turbos are only good for engines that opperate in a limited rpm range and for an extended period of time; Tractors, tractor trailers, boats, aircraft.
