proper number of lugs per wheel, battery tie down, no leaking fluids, working seat belts, no chipped or cracked glass, neutral safety switch.

let us know EVERYTHING you have done and I can list other things they will check

+++1. If you run faster than a 13.9, chances are you will need a helmet. If you run faster than a low 11, then you might need a roll cage, etc. Also, if you run on street tires, don't do a burn out. You'll just waste time and lose tread. Do not go through the water box. You can do a quick, but small burnout(like 2 seconds just to clean the tires). Good luck and have fun!!!

proper number of threads in the lug nut, if your fast then your gonna need lug nuts on the back that they can see the stud through. if you really wanna be sure your not gonna fail order the NHRA 2009 rule book that will tell you everything you need to know.

what's done to the car. If it's basically stock, there's not much to worry about if the car's not a pos.

Everything is dependant on how quick your car is. I've made a 9 second pass without a roll cage. You notice I said "A" pass. Somtimes the track is a little relaxed on the rules. I've made lots of 9 second passes at Darlington International Dragway without a cage during test and tune nights. On race day it's a differant story.

Thats when you run to the convenience store and get a 1/2 gal of iced tea and some zip ties.
