Default Upper and lower intake question/problem

Ok i just installed a Typhoon Upper and lower intake on my 86 Gt. Now ever since the install it runs kinda ruff. It doesnt seem to wanna idle smooth it really raspy and crackles. And sometimes while driving you can feel this slight lundging like its slightly missing or somthing. Now ive been over all the vaccum lines n such and im just lost the car is in time and everything else looks good any ideas what could cause this?

Yea, check your TPS voltage, check timing, and make sure you don't have any vacuum leaks. Also, even with all that correct if you've still got the speed density system you may not be able to work it out w/out converting to mass air. Most intake mods are ok on those cars but nothings for certain.

make sure you dont have any leaks between the upper and lower intake and the heads and the lower intake

I had a leak at my lower intake when I installed mine and it acted the same way.
Once I replaced the gaskets all was fine.

same here
its probably the lower intake gasket.

did you go over all the bolts a bunch of times in the right order untill they are all tight.

I know when I did my first intake I torqued the bolts once and it leaked bad.
had the same symptoms you describe, but worse.

The surging you describe makes me think it's runing lean, which is proly due to a vac leak.
