That and the fact that if you attempt something of this magnitude and botch something important in the installation, the initial $3200 all-in cost could escalate into something close to double that when things go sideways. I know myself, if I attempted to do it myself the car wouldn't run or would explode the moment I lit a match to it. Professional all the way for me baby...

I have always done work myself, I have done everything from head gaskets, timing chains, clutches, transmissions, motor installs, I took auto mechanics at state tech in Memphis as well. just not real familiar with different set ups for Mustangs. This is the first one I have owned, bought a 95 GT Convertible with 62000 original miles about 2 months ago for $4200.(in excellent condition)

I'll do a little job now and then if the person isn't in a rush for it. I have 22 sets of heads waiting to be picked up (the guys are starting to make the mad dash to pick them up now after they have been sitting in my shop all winter) I have to finance my car somehow, lol I'd rather have two brake jobs and a few A/C repairs a day at my house each day than any regular dealership job. The Money is better and can take off work before noon, lol

With my health issues I couldn't get a job in pie factory, lol I should have retired 10 years ago. With Cyl head work at an all time low I'm about to sell that off as well. Do some gravy work in my home garage and call it a day
