Default 89 gt vert

I am looking at a 89 gt vert. It has 110k on the clock. The dealer wants $5500 for it which i know is high. What are some things to look for? Thanks in advance.

Rust underneath the floorboards, rust underneath the ground effects, feel for slipping clutch or tranny if 5 speed. Check that ALL buttons (radio, convertible, windows, wipers, heater, etc.) do the function they are intended for. Inspect the brakes for damage, lift the car and take the tire off if you have to. Take a magnifying glass to the top. Inspect for tears, rips, rotting, mold, cracks, etc. Do not let that last thing slip, tops aren't cheap to replace. Check the radiator fluid for rust color. Inspect the oil for little metal flakes. If there are flakes, WALK AWAY. Find out if the car has mods and what they are precisely. 5500 is high for a vert, if you buy mine for 2500, you'll have 2000 left over
