Default Fuel Pressure Question

I have an '89 LX that I just purchased. The previous owner installed a couple of Auto Meter gauges that I want to relocate. One of the gauges is a fuel pressure gauge. It has a stainless braided line coming from the fuel rail on the passenger side (normally as port for checking pressure?) My question is how can I safely, easily relieve the fuel pressure when I move this gauge? Thanks.

Good, that is what I was planning on doing. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't another way. Thanks again.

also if you let it sit overnight some of the pressure will normally bleed off and without starting it , undo connection first thing in the morning and you may find it'll only dribble a little

Thanks for the tip. This car has a faulty factory fuel level gauge. The previous owner said he replaced the sending unit, but it didn't fix the problem. I figured rather than messing with the factory gauge I would install an Auto Meter one, but I have to do a little gauge swapping around. That is why I need to disconnect the fuel pressure gauge. Here is another question, if I decide to run a new wire from the sending unit to the new gauge, can you gain access to the sending unit without dropping the tank?

yes, you just have to locate where the harness goes fron the sending unit on the tank into the car and tap off it there, = easy to do
