Default Cracked Header Q

My passenger side BBK ceramic coated header is cracked just below the EGR return nipple, it's currently not bad, but must of just happened as it wasn't there when I put them back on last month after my engine build. I was wondering if anybody else had this problem with BBK and if there is an easy way to fix it or am I stuck with buying new ones? It's not very loud at the moment, but could easily spread to be a full crack around the entire header on that port (currently it's about 1/2 the way around).

Also, anybody have any imput on JBA or Bassani headers, both seem to be better quality than BBK, but also, much more expensive.

Well my cousin is a welder, so I can get him to do it, I just wasn't 100% sure a weld would fix the problem. Thanks guys, that answers my question, but I do know that eventually I'll have to change them out now. I stuck by BBK, but after doing a little research it seems as if their ceramic headers have a problem with cracking.

Drill a 1/8 hole at each end of the crack before you weld it

Yeah, a good welder can fix that no problem. I cracked one my FMS truck headers several years ago and had it welded up with no problems, 25 bucks later I was good to go.

exactly what I was going to suggest... this eliminates the chance that the crack will spread past the weld
