Default question on thermostat

can i run a 180 degree thermostat on my car without problems, right now it has the stock i believe the 195 but it runs at about that temperature i would like to run a littel cooler if possible

My stock thermostat works fine and never reaches half on the highway or sitting. It has before when having problems, but is usually lower...

with my 180*stat, the temp gauge only rises 1/3 the way when its 110*. Oh yea, that is along with an aluminum radiator though.

180 will be fine = best performance range stat
