ok so my project consists of swapping everything fuel injected from a wrecked 87 into a carbed 84. and im close to done but i run into some questions with my fuel delivery. i was rearended in the 87 so bought a new 255lph walbro fuel pump. and its a 307. and just pulled the tank out off the wrecked one yesterday so i can take the car to the scrap yard or get ready to. and the fuel pump in there was a walbro 342... and ive been researching today about it and supposidly the 340 series is better than the 307 but i cant find anything out about a 342... and im just wondering if its the same thing as a 340?? can anybody help me out or know what im talking about?

so will the 84 be efi or carbed??

the way I see it, if the pump worked fine in the 87, no reason it shouldn't be fine in your 84, same drivetrain, just different body, walbros are good pumps

yeah... i bought the other pump before i knew it was good.... and now its a lil difficult to send it back and also i doubt anybody is gonna give me anything close to what i gave for it. so in other words sux to be in my position ha.
