Default Streetable on a Budget.

I recently bought a 1987 Mustang Lx (originally 4 cyl) with a fresh 5.0 in it (4cyl suspension though).

It has ported heads, intake, 4.10s, MSD, full exhaust w/o cats, and some other small stuff.

Anyways im going to be getting a new job after school lets out, and have worked out a budget of $2000. What are some things I can do to give my beast a little more get up and go?

A friend is letting me have one of his project cars for a favor I did him and it has the following:

-Weld Draglites 15x4 & 15x8
-Hoosier Streets all around
-9" Rear w/ 4.30s and Detroit Locker
-BBK Shorties
-B&M Shifter
-fully remanufactured C4 w/ B&M Shift kit and 2200 stall
-3" Fiberglass cow

So...ideas?

ported stock e7's and stock intake? I'm a big believer on suspension. I would start her IMO

Yea. was a surprise to me too. The guy I bought it from did it himself, and it makes decent power. Still want more though. I'm in the process of getting sub-frame connectors, but what could I get for more power?

Ok. Suspension. So I'm looking at:

-Lakewood Traction Bars - $220
-Full Length Sub-frame connectors - $50
-Eibach Drag Launch Springs - $250
-Lakewood 50/50 Front Drag Shocks - $100
-Lakewood 70/30 Front Drag Struts - $210
-BBK Strut Tower Brace - $110

That will leave me with another grand or so. Anything else I need as far as suspension?
What horsepower mods can I make with the remaining budget?

I saw that after I posted my last post, sorry. You must have posted while I was typing up my post as well.

Would the Cobra Intake and GT-40X Aluminum Heads work the same?
What cam should I get for that setup? Custom grind?
A FRPP letter cam?
maybe the Comp Cam XE270HR?

cold air intake. deffinetly do the suspension stuff. is this for daily driving or track? sounds like the latter.... if so pull all the smog stuff off while youve got everything else apart, if its legal there. save some weight and will clear a ton of crap out
