Default hotchkins caster camber plate help

Has anyone had to add more than 3 washers to the strut?

I put 3 washers in (per instructions) and reassembled everything and when I tightened down the strut nut it appears that the strut will go through my hood when I put pressure on the car.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

that's why then but IIRC......I had a similar issue with the hotckis ones when using coil overs and it said right in the instructions that they will not work with coil overs due to the similar issue you are having, so I sent them back and went with MM c/c plates and issue solved

Don't double post >_< .... lol JK.

I used steeda's CC plates and I have no issue with hood clearance. I have lowering springs and aftermarket struts, they are capable of working with coil overs, too. But when i get a coil over setup(from MM) im using MM cc plates.

I don't know why it does that, I hit the button once but it often does a doublepost, I've seen it happen with others too, I feel it is a fourm issue.

Actually what I did was added a couple more washer to the underside of the plate. The instructions say to just use no more that 3 washers. but since its only for clearance it will work.
