Default Rear Tires

I know this has been asked a billiion times but i missed all of them. Will 315/35r17 fit on the back of my 89 coupe. The fender lip has been rolled flat. i have been running 275/40 and they look small. "i still run stock springs"

yes, but they are gonna stick out and make your **** look ghetto as ****

and they wont improve traction at all

I was told that 245/50/16's would fit on stock pony rims with a stock suspension. That means I can run 245's in the front and rear without rubbing, right?

no, its the width. a 275/40 is 275mm wide with the sidewall being an aspect ratio, which means its 40% of the 275mm wide tire, which means you have a 4.33" sidewall height. and if thats on a 17" wheel you have a 25.6" tall tire.

sorry what i ment was its not the width im looking at its the hight. they just dont seem tall enough, i still have 3.5" of room from the top of the tire to the bottom of my fender. so to me they look to small
