Default Mass Air Meter and ERG Plate

ok first question. Why do I need an EGR plate? First of all what is it? Why cant I put an EGR spacer in the spot instead of the plate? Next I'm going to be going with 24lb fuel injectors and wanna put either a 73mm Mass Air Meter or a 76mm Mass Air Meter in... Not sure which one so gimme some advice.

.512/.512 cam, adjustable rocker arms, cold air intake, Edelbrock upper intake manifold, gt40 heads, stiffer suspension added b4 i got it so not sure what it is.

What I wanna/thinking bout getting is...
1. either 30 or 42lb injectors
2. 73mm or 76mm mass air meter
3. fuel pressure regulator
4. 70mm or 75mm BBK TB and ERG plate
5. Either a NOVI 2000 or 1000

you should hold off on doing anything else until you decide if you are going to S/c or not.

since everything you have listed there all is sorta dependant on that fact
