What up everyone on the stang forums. I just bought a 1994 mustang gt 5.0 with a 5 speed. It has 133,000 miles on it right now, i was just wondering how long you guys think it will be before it needs a rebuild. Right now it runs as strong as hell but, it would be useful to have a general idea.

Just depends on how you drive it I guess. If you beat on it then it will probably go out semi soon, but I've seen a bunch well over 200,000. My brother does a lot of work on fox bodies and they can last pretty long. It really just depends how hard you are on them. I drive mine pretty hard and it has about 145,000 on it and absolutely no problems.

if you take care of them they can last forever there are a lot of people that have 200,000 and 300,000 miles on a 302

i have a lincoln towncar with a 302 with over 600k on it it has been a limousine since 1988!!!

all highway miles though and it has been abused over the years!!!!

my granpas 93 f 150 with a 5.0 and hauling 5k LBS+ of tools everyday, just rolled over 311k UNTOUCHED!!! the oil filter hasnt been changed in 50k miles

my friend has a 94 GT with over 180K on it. he drives the **** out of it and it still runs good.

Just do your regular maintenance on you 5.0 and it should last you a long time. Good luck.
