idle problem 92 5.0L efi convertible
i have a 92 LX convert it runs awesome
but if you let it set long enough to cool down
when u go to start it back up
it starts immediately goes to about 2500
then dies
you can restart as many times as you like but
it will do the same thing until you touch the gas
give it one burst
then it will idle
checked the tps sensor it is fine and its set at .94 volts at closed throttle
and theres no codes
i was thinking the act sensor but idk
i figured it would throw a code

could be a bad distributor or your IAC. Do you have trouble starting it when it is warm? I'd bet the idle air control is part of your problem though if it shoots up to 2500 rpm, had the same issue on my old car and it was the IAC.
