Viper Alarm Removal / NO Accessory 12 Volts to CCRM
Does anyone have any usefull links to removing a viper alarm? I would like to get all that wiring out of the car. + Im having a problem with the ignition.
The problem is....... the CCRM is not registering the accessory 12 volts. What would cause no ignition power to the CCRM? I belive the viper alarm is causing this issue but I dont know for sure.
No accessory 12 volts to the CCRM is causing no fuel pump and no electric fan....some times it works no problem... sometimes I get nothing.

a viper alarm might interupt the starter wire but it should not do anything to the ignition wires unless it has a bad connection.
Pulling an alarm is not a big deal. Just drop the dash and follow the wires. Make sure to insulate any bare copper to keep it from grounding out. The only part that could be difficult to take out and keep the circuit funtioning would be the door locks. They are a 5-wire system meaning that relays must be insterted to the circuit and depending on how it was installed, and how you remove it could mean it doesn't work after.
I don't think the alarm would be causing this problem, I would check your ignition myself. They are known to go bad after some time.

I just removed one last night from my 89 vert,,,, pull all wiring one by one and see where the splices and cut wires have been made, usually only 2 -3 hard cuts at most, mine had 1 hard cut = starter wire, rejoin wires that were hard cut and system will be returned to stock operation
