Default surging at idle, need help

my car surges at a idle and im not sure why im hearing a wierd sound coming from the drivers side near the valve cover that sound like bad timing or a miss. my tach goes up and down as it surges. i think it might be a intake manifold leak any other things?the miss is almost like a tick sound but more of a exhaust sound

I've seen two other articles that look like they might be useful for this condition:
DIY KOE/KOER self test combo ..... this will help ID'ing what in the EEC could be causing the surge...

Base Idle Reset.

yea its a exhaust leak, does that cause the o2s to read funny?
i tested my compression 2 times on each cylinder im 150-160psi on all cylinders so that actually good. im waiting to put on my mac equal length shorties so ill get that really thick graphite gasket set stuff. i cleaned the IAC, i seafoamed the brake booster. i will pull the codes. i dont have a cel so its possible.

I have to tell you. The best response I've ever seen to a "My Fox is surging" thread, was...."Really? No ****."

LOL...Welcome to a foxbody.
