Default exhaust/CAI questions

i might buy a 91-92 LX. i have a 2007 GT right now. i dont know anything about the foxbody. so heres the question: the first mods i want to do to the fox is CAI and exhaust. i want to put in shorties, o/r h pipe, and some flows super 44's. will the o/r h pipe, having no cats, give me a CEL? and if so, how do i get rid of the CEL?

no it doesnt throw a CEL. i have a BBK o/r h-pipe. had the provision tube for the egr and the ports for your 02's. i put (unequal)shorties on, with the h-pipe. everything went together great with no problems(at least in relation to the exhaust itself). i wish i had a video of my car so you could hear it, but i dont as of right now. itll sound awesome and like i said, it wont throw a cel. if it does. theres something else involved.

Fox's are much simpler when it comes to modding than your 07 does and they don't require a flash with major upgrades. A CAI and exhaust are a good place to start if the car you buy doesn't have it already.

i've heard of people w/ s197's doing exactly that, getting a CEL from putting gas in their car. the fox i am looking at is all stock, clean looking, current owner is a mechanic at a dealership and says he's taken good care of it, has 60k miles, and he wants 3500 for it. its an auto, i wanted a stick, but the price is nice so i figure its worth a look, plus i really like the sound of the foxbody (dont tell the s197 guys i said that). heres a few pix of the fox, what do ya think?
