Default Rocker arms

How much power can I gain from a set of 1.6 rocker arms? How about the 1.7s? Is it a seat of the pants difference? And please, no one suggest getting new heads because I can not afford them any time soon.

1.6 = 0 hp..that's what ya got..the 1.7's about 10-15 hp..not what ya call big seat of the pants but a nice gain..puts you around .479 lift

That's exactly what I wanted to know, thanks ! Now lets say I get the 1.7s, underdrives, shorty equals and some underdrives, what kind of gains am I looking at there, I'm guessing with all that stuff combined I'd be seeing a pretty big SOTP gain.

If you go with some roller rockers then you will free up some friction allowing more power to where you want it to go...the wheels.

Now vfast you were saying the 1.7s would put you at a .479 lift. So the 1.7s will push more of a lift then 1.6s? I havent learned about 1.6s and 1.7s yet. So if that is true that they push more...what does that mean when i look for 1.7s and a new cam, will i have to remember that the 1.7s will create a bigger valve opening then what the cam advertises?
