Default What to look for when pulling oil pan?

I bought an engine from prestige mustang in georgia. Well it has no oil pressure so im going to be putting a new pump, oil drive shaft, and filler neck. What should i be looking for to be worn or scarred? The hottest the motor got was 220. First things first im going to be checking the oil for metal shavings.

pop the rod caps off and check the bearings. if they look good, pop the mains and give them a check too

actually my belt is slipping, i have it on a temp bad set up right now. Alt, water pump, harmonic bal. I verified no oil pressure by completely removing the bell and installing a oil filled oil pressure gauge, and then removing the connection from the motor and the motor only shoots out oil when its revved. when the connection is on you can see the oil in the line NEVER get past like 7 inches of the line. No it did not get hot and lose pressure.

oil isnt going to fill the line completely as it compresses the air in the tube aswell. how much pressure was there when it was cold.
