abnormal rocker wear, help!
Alright everybody, what causes this:
I've asked a few diff people, all of which ford techs(if that matters lol) and i've gotten many different answers; bad lifter, bad cam, bad/bent studs, bad rockers, over tightening, bad valve springs, wrong length pushrods, you name it and i've got it as an answer. anyone on here seen this? I would like someone to say that its happened to them and that *blank* was the problem.
a little about my setup, custom roller cam, hydraulic lifters, trickflow pushrods, comp rockers, if you need to know more let me know. there are 2 other rockers like this, tho not as bad, they are scattered around, not on the same side or on the same cylinder. this rocker was the worst.

did you check to see if the roller tips were hanging off the edge of the valve stem tip slightly??,, I just set mine up the other day and such was the issue, so right now I'm waiting for a reply back from my cam guy, but push rod guide plate change or center yours will be the solution most likely

My money is guideplate misalignment. You always have to make sure the guideplates keep the rocker centered on the valve. You just have to loosen them and move the plate around until it's in the best possible place. I havent had a set lined up right in years right out of the box. They cant line them up at the factory because they don't have you block to go by.

hmm so the guide plate is part of the stud assembly then? I don't know heads lol.
as far as the tick, i was thinking maybe i collapsed a lifter or something, i got a loud tick on the return road at the track.
