Engine start up after 1.5 years.
Just a quick question i have been asking around my shop where i worked and been getting mixed answers.
I have a 1990 mustang coupe, with a 306 hasn't been started for 1.5 years, now some say to pull fuel pump relay and crank it for 20 seconds, while others say to pull distributor and prime that way. Any suggestions ? or insight to which is better.

I don't know your setup other than a 306 (carb or FI) but I had my stang 302 sitting for about a little more than a year and I stated it up with no priming or cranking at all. All was well. Was a little rough for about 15 secs but smoothed out and was perfectly fine.
I did this about 2 years ago and still drive the car today. Nothing wrong at all.
Oh and my 302 is completely stock...FI
