Default gas gage

86 gt 5.0 mustang. im having issues with the gas gage. it dose not work it is a cluster dash from a 90 5.0 and idk how to fix it. can someone help me?

mines not working and I think its the fuel sending unit, found in the tank. I got a used replacement to put in, off ebay I think

Most commonly its the fuel gauge sending unit. They are fairly cheap and easy to install. Just have to drain your fuel tank and lower it down. Would suggest replacing the o-ring and lock ring due to they get rusty.
