I have a 94 GT with a 96-98 cobra hood with a trick flow intake manifold underneath. I am looking into buying a manifold spacer and trick flow offers a .375" and a 1" spacer. I was wondering if my manifold would clear my hood with the one inch spacer, and if not would it clear with the .375 spacer. Don't forget I have the 96-98 cobra hood. Thanks

im pretty sure you still need to buy a taller hood. those cobra hoods dont really do all that much

Do a simple test. Grab some clay and make four squares that are 1 inch tall (or .4" for the smaller spacer) and set them on all four corners of your intake. Add a fifth if the middle of the manifold is the tallest part.

Close your hood and then press on the center of the hood just a little. This is for the effect that maybe your engine moves just a little during driving. Now open and see if any of the clay pieces have been changed. If all are the same then you will be ok. If any have been touched then you need a bigger hood.
