okay
then what fittings do i need to use to hook the aluminum lines up to the pump?
it has a 3/8 NPT inlet and outlet

The braided line is fine. It should be changed about every four years to be safe. My experiance with aluminum line is that it flexes with the car and ends up cracking. If you want the best for your appliction build a set of steel lines from the back to front. It's a lot of work getting it just right. Personally I don't mind changing out braided line every few years. I've run it all. This time I'm running Aeroquip Socketless hose on mine from the tank to the carb. I was a little skeptical at first but tried it a few years back on my truck.After two year of use I took the line off and 175 psi of pressure from my air compressor wouldn't push the ends off with the end plugged. The hose itself is rated for 250psi. I run 6.2 psi of fuel pressure. I'm pretty confident it will be just fine.
