Default front and rear spring

so i have a 88 notch that had originally a 4 cylinder in it and me and my dad are making it a race car i have a 306 build right now but i plan on putting a 351 with a turbo on it and i heard that for drag racing it is better to have the 4 cylinder springs but i also have the gt spring has anyone heard of doing this?

Put V8 springs in the back and 4 cyl springs in the front. Thats what I run now.
