i had the same problem UNTIL i replaced the distributor. also if the egr is stuck open it will caulse that symptom id start by blocking the egr off with tin plate inbetween egr and egr spacer then if still no luck the distributor may be on the way to car part heaven. note... my brand new M>S>D billet distributor was defective after i put the stock dist.. back in the car screamed ...leave the egr blocked off

I don't know why but if I look at night or in the dark the plug wires leak a slight bit from the boot to the motor. It's at all 8 plugs no matter what wires I use, tried brand new taylors. I dont think this is normal but I have a feeling it could contribute to a random pulse especially at low RPM. I have no Idea what could cause this. Maybe you are experiencing this problem too. Also Did you check your TPS voltage?

no conclusive tests other than oming out the pickup circut BUT sometimes they only **** up at high temp or high rpm.. check out the MSD website it has instructions for testing distributor.. mine missed a little at idle made the car run like a bag of smashed ******** when i replaced it WHAT A DIFFERENCE,,

Not to take away from mustang forums but try www.sbft#ch.com replace the # with a E Theres a section called Joel5.0's engine electrical management or something like that, post you problem there, or in the injected small block windsors section. They have been really helpful in figuring my spuddering and miss problem. Im in the same boat as you, ive been replacing everything it could be and it still does it. Alot of good info about DIY tests you can do to figure it out in Joel5.0s section. Goodluck, hopefully we both sovle our problems

Alright i was picking at the car again today. I blocked off the egr with a plate i made and it seems to run slightly better but there is still a misfire when warm. I have discovered when it is cold there is no misfire or a very small one but as soon as it warms up even a slight bit it gets progressively worse. I really don't know what to think.
