Default throwout bearing

ok, someone's probably asked this before, but it'd prob be hard to find it, so i'll ask again. i know i need to replace my throwout bearing( it squeaks until i push the clutch in just a little). i went to the ford dealership today and they want $200 in labor and $50 for the bearing(which i know is too much).they also want to replace the clutch pressure plate for another $350. what i wanna know is if i would actually need to replace the cpc and if it is actually a $200 job. thanks. also, what's the worst that could happen if i don't replace the throwout bearing.

they charge so much because they will have to drop the tranny out. I would just do the work my self or have a trusted mechanic do it. you can buy a stock replacement clutch that will hold over 300 h.p for 99$! and guess what it comes with the throwout bearing.
