Default more problems!!

Here's a good one for the pros!! The idle will start at 800 then rise to over 2,000 then drop a little and go back to 2000. Its not like your usual idle surge! When cruising with my foot lightly on the gas it bucks like crazy.When I accelerate a little is smooths out.

This is am intermitten problem. It may act up for 50-100 miles then do fine for 30 or so. Doesnt matter if the engine is cold or warm. I pulled the following codes!

84 ( blocked off EGR so I understand this one)

LOL. Yeah I guess that would help.

51. ECT/ACT reads -40F or open circuit

81. (Chilton manual had this one listed twice) IAS circuit failure, Air Management 2 circuit failure

82. Air management 1 circuit failure

84. EGR Vac. Solenoid failure

63. TP circuit below minimum voltage. ( This was in continuous memory)

smog pump is still on the car but its disconnected. all EGR stuff is gone and block off plate installed.

ECT... test the circuit and the sensor.. my probe did the same crap when the ECT was bad

Thanks Adder. Looks like you were right on the money. Replaced ECT and ACT. Check engine light went out and runs great so far.
